Yaz and Yasmin Birth Control Pills

Yaz® and Yasmin® birth control pills are a new form of oral contraceptives that have been reported to be more dangerous than most other oral contraceptives. Linked to the development of blood clots, gallbladder damage, heart attack, stroke, pulmonary embolism, kidney stones and other serious health risks, Yaz® and Yasmin® birth control pills have been the basis of many lawsuits against Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), since 2004, there have been more than 50 deaths linked to Yaz® or Yasmin® (a similar fourth generation oral contraceptive also produced by Bayer). Unfortunately, millions of women across the U.S. still use these birth controls, unaware of their dangerous.

Things You Need to Know About Yaz® and Yasmin®

You should not take Yaz® if you have a history of any of the following medical conditions:

According to the FDA, Yaz® and Yasmin® may cause birth defects. If you become pregnant while taking Yaz® or Yasmin® birth control pills, you should stop taking the contraceptive and tell your doctor immediately. You should also not use Yaz® or Yasmin® as your form of birth control if you are breast feeding, as the hormones can get to your breast milk and cause harm to your baby.

How to Take Yaz® and Yasmin® Birth Control Pills
